Metal Detecting in Illinois

Illinois has a rich and captivating history and the members of IVHRRA are on a mission to discover that history. Whether it is detecting the neighbor’s back yard or an old Native American territory, there are endless opportunities for excitement and discovery to be had. Our club has provided an educational opportunity for people of all ages to get out and enjoy nature and the camaraderie that comes with metal detecting. One treasure at a time we are discovering history while preserving the past, and we can’t wait to find out what still lies beneath the surface.
